Tuna baguette special
This is a sandwich that I have developed over the years. It started life in my first boyfriend's kitchen made by his mum who was a fantastic cook. I think I have probably added things to it but I don't know what is original and what is new.
Ingredients:
- Tuna, 1 x can - in sunflower oil is tastiest
- Mayonnaise, 1 x tbsp
- Tomato, 1 x ripe, sliced
- Philedelphia
- Baguette
- Rasberry vinegar, to your taste
- Salt & Pepper
Optional: lemon juice, tiny sliced up red onion or spring onion
Method:
Drain the can of tuna, add it to a bowl and mix with the mayonnaise, salt and pepper and rasberry vinegar. Mix well and taste. This is all to your taste. If you want to, add some lemon juice, and onion.
Half the baguette longways and spread on the philedelphia. Add the slices of tomato and then the tuna mixture.
Serve with:
- Tea
- salt & Vinegar crisps (McCoys are good)
